Window of the Soul

This exercise started with a debate based on the documentary Janela da Alma (Window of the Soul) in which people with differing degrees of visual impairment discuss how they perceive the world. This was followed by deconditioning our act of seeing through an exercise in which we were blindfolded and interacted with each other and took pictures.

Based on these exercises we had to generate a photography project. Ours was about seeing with an intermediate element. It could be a magnifying glass, a bottle, a transparent plastic bag, anything that would distort without blocking the path of light rays to the camera lens.
